I am a stay at home mom of two. I have a son and a daughter. We used to live in a condo in the Peninsula. We moved out from our condo in 2006 because we needed more space for our growing family.

My first choice for our house would be a new house with a lot of space. However, we live in the Bay Area where housing prices are ridiculously high. Therefore, we can only afford an older house.

Ever since we moved in to our “new” old house I had a mission to make our house nice and comfortable, preferably with a minimal budget. I am not an interior designer, nor does decorating a house come naturally to me. I needed to learn so much just to decorate our house. A lot of the times I am learning from my mistakes. Luckily, my husband is very supportive about this whole thing. He helps me a lot with home improvement. He is also very patient with my constantly changing ideas. He once said that everything in our house has to move at least twice.

We did some remodeling. We had some bad experience sand also good ones. We are certainly not done with our home improvement. There is still a lot to do. I created this blog to make my home more comfortable for my family. I would like to share designs that I like from other websites, magazines or readers. I am hoping to be able to apply what I have learn from this blog to my home. Even if I can not I’m sure there are people that can benefit from it.
