The size of this tiny powder room is only 5&#8242;x3&#8242;. This is one of the addition that we did to our house. With this tiny powder room we have 2.5 bathroom in total in our house.  Because of the small size of this powder room, I had to look for compact fixtures.  Unfortunately, regular American brands that we often find in Home Depot and Lowe&#8217;s are all too big for my tiny powder room.  Because American like things to be big and super-sized.  On the contrary, the European like things to be small and compact, which is perfect for my powder room.  The only downside is just, their products are so darn expensive.<br />
After I did my research, I decided to go with <a title="Duravit Starck 3" href="http://www.duravit.com/products/series/starck-3-useo6q3rtg.html" target="_blank">Duravit Starck</a> wall hung toilet and sink.  I figured since I only have limited space, it is best to keep everything above the floor to prevent the room feeling cramped. <span id="more-15"></span><br />
<img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-20" title="tiny-powder-room2" src="http://yuliany.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tiny-powder-room2.jpg" alt="tiny-powder-room2" width="480" height="640" /></p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-21" title="tiny-powder-room3" src="http://yuliany.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tiny-powder-room3.jpg" alt="tiny-powder-room3" width="480" height="640" /><br />
<img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-22" title="tiny-powder-room4" src="http://yuliany.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tiny-powder-room4.jpg" alt="tiny-powder-room4" width="480" height="640" /><br />
<img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-23" title="tiny-powder-room5" src="http://yuliany.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tiny-powder-room5.jpg" alt="tiny-powder-room5" width="480" height="640" /></p>
<p>The toilet tank is hidden behind the wall. Therefore, the wall above the toilet is the perfect space for storage.  I put recessed shelving instead of regular shelving to gain more space in the room.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-24" title="tiny-powder-room-window" src="http://yuliany.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tiny-powder-room-window.jpg" alt="tiny-powder-room-window" width="480" height="640" />For the window, I purposely picked a garden window to provide extra counter space to put a little bit of decoration, extra towels and lotions.  The soap dispenser is mounted to the wall to avoid cluttery look on the window sill. I like the idea of using touchless soap dispenser.  However, the downside is that the battery runs out very fast.  So, before you consider buying something like that, you have to keep in mind that you have to change the battery very often and it might just stop working when you did not expect it.<br />
<img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-25" title="tiny-powder-room-shelf" src="http://yuliany.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/tiny-powder-room-shelf.jpg" alt="tiny-powder-room-shelf" width="480" height="640" />The chrome finished rectangle with two oval shapes on it is actually the flush for the toilet.  This is a &#8220;green&#8221; toilet that uses less water.  It has dual flush system.<br />
